Peter Byrne brings a focused, relaxed and energetic style of playing to the stage. His creativity is defined across the drum kit and brings many styles together to form an unorthodox and capturing performance.

From studying Jazz under his tutor Shaun Forde from the age of 7, he moved onto metal bands in his teens and found himself in a wide range of function bands in his 20s. Rock, Pop, Jazz and country, to playing in Classically influenced pop bands such as "Bona Fide Federation', he has gained a sizeable repertoire.

He toured and continues to play with Marc O'Reilly and the swing band 'The Roaring 40's'. He has earned extensive experience touring, from covering the U.K to The Folk Alliance Festival in Kansas City, Silda Jazz Festival in Norway, showcasing in New York City and extensively covering Europe. In between his busy gigging schedule, Peter is a full- time drum teacher and, since 2006, has over a hundred students successfully pass Trinity Guildhall Examinations. He has an excellent reputation as a teacher, and his dedication to his students is unquestionable.

After a successful touring career, Peter returned to his studies and earned a First Class Honours in a Master's in Performance in August of 2021. Having studied under Tomas Gall for 2 years and attended private master classes with Renee Cremmers, Holland, and Borislav Petrov, Bulgaria, his playing has reached a new and exciting level that he's eager to show the world of music lovers.
